SCOPE : RUSTOFIX 1103 is one of the novel innovation incorporating the latest technology in the field of corrosion prevention & protection of metals and can be used as a primer for rusted surfaces. RUSTOFIX 1103 is most ideally suited for the pretreatment of rusted ferrous components. It requires very little surface preparation, it is very easy to work with and it is non-toxic. It touch dries in 15 minutes and hard dries in 24 hours. RUSTOFIX 1103 reacts with the loose and adherent rust on the metal surface and converts the rust into a BLACK, inert and adherent organo-metallic coating. This Rust converted BLACK coating works as an excellent Primer for any painting system, and will have good adhesion with any type of Paints / Varnishes etc.
Method of Application : RUSTOFIX 1103 can be used on rusted as well as clean metal surfaces, by Brushing / Swabbing or Spraying. Due to the formation of inert coating, further rusting is totally stopped. Remove the loose rust & scales by means of a wire brush & wipe the surface with a dry cloth. Apply RUSTOFIX 1103 liberally on the cleaned and surface by brushing / swabbing. Allow the solvent to dry. The surface will become touch dry within
15-30 minutes. Coating may be done if necessary after 24 hours. After drying the surface becomes bluish black. After the surface is completely dried, wipe with a dry cloth to remove loose particles. Apply any suitable paint on the substrate.
ADVANTAGES : RUSTOFIX 1103 is an ideal replacement for conventional and time consuming : Three-in-one chemicals, Pickling and Phosphating processes etc, where ever, due to place and process constraints, Phosphating / Acid cleaning / Sand and Grit blasting / and other processes of Metal Pre-treatment are nor feasible. RUSTOFIX 1103 is very easy to handle, entire pre-cleaning cost is reduced, requires unskilled labour & process is very economical. This coating offers excellent corrosion prevention. RUSTOFIX 1103 is totally Bio-Degradable , eco-friendly and does not need ANY EFFLUENT TREATMENT.
